Go-Karting in Blackpool on Your Stag Weekend

Go-Karting in Blackpool on Your Stag Weekend

If you want a mixture of speed and adrenaline from your daytime activity on your stag weekend then look no further than the popular sport of go-karting.  It's a firm favourite with stag groups and it's easy to see why with its competitive element and addictive quality. There are many places in the UK that run go karting for stag weekends but one destination that really compliments the fast and fun action of go-karting is the bright lights and amusements filled Lancashire coastal resort of Blackpool. Blackpool rose to fame during the 19th century as a vibrant tourist resort, with its bustling environment and the infamous tower and Pleasure beach amusement park. It was also a popular destination for wealthy classes to take a break there due to the purported healing properties of the sea air. Blackpool still remains a popular tourist location especially with stag and hen parties as the town is well known for its fun loving and welcoming attitude towards groups looking to celebrate a special occasion.

Why go-karting on a stag weekend?

If you want action without having to roll around in the mud with other popular stag activities like paintballing, then go-karting could be a perfect fit for your group.

It also doesn't matter about the size of your stag party as most venues can accommodate small to large group sizes.  Karting is also a great activity for getting everyone involved at the same time. You're all on the track trying to race for first position to the finish line so everyone's involved in the action at the same time. Trying to weave in and out of each other takes a lot of skill and is incredibly fun as well as being quite a workout as you try to drive yourself to victory over the many different laps!

Why Blackpool?

Blackpool is renowned for being a "fun" town. It has all the attractive elements of a seaside resort from its tourist seaside shops and cafes, its long beach and of course the family run amusement park located on the South Shore area of Blackpool. It's famous for its large rollercoaster, the Pepsi Max "Big one" which, when opened in 1994 was the tallest, fasted and steepest rollercoaster in the world. As a result of all these components Blackpool has a reputation for attracting thrill seekers who like a bit of cheeky fun and entertainment. It is a very popular place for stag and hen groups. Many bars welcome in large groups of revellers and fancy dress in big groups is also a common sight to be seen at the weekend.

Where to go in the evening

Most of the action in the evening is on the seafront and popular bars can be found along Talbot Road, and in between the streets of Market Street and Abingdon Street. Such popular bars like Schofields, Barista and The Pepper Mill can be located here.
